The Ghost Ship
A great ship rises from the canvas in loose washes of sepia and smoke, its masts and rigging dissolving into drips, splashes and spirals. Birds circle overhead and an anchor hangs at the edge. Painted with spontaneous, ink-like gestures, the vessel seems to appear and vanish at the same time. A haunting piece about voyages, memory and what the sea keeps.
