A mother gathers her child into her arms, cheek resting against cheek, her long hair falling around them both. The figures are drawn in fine dark lines that seem to dissolve into a shimmering ground of gold, ochre, lilac and rose. You find them slowly, the way a memory surfaces. Soft, warm and deeply human, it honours the first and purest love we know.
