Riders of the Dusk

Riders of the Dusk — original painting by Nourhan Salama

At twilight, a black horse and a white horse gallop across a river lit by the last orange fire of the sun. Old towers and arched ruins rise from the water, a glowing red doorway reflects in its depths, and a pale woman stands waiting between them. Loose, atmospheric brushwork in blue, black and ember orange gives the scene the feeling of a half-remembered dream or a legend told at night.
