A bearded man in a pale linen suit draws a curly-haired woman in an olive-green dress close, their foreheads almost touching, their hands clasped. The figures are drawn with lively, searching ink lines over soft washes of sand, olive and dusty violet. Nothing in the background competes with the moment. It is tender, cinematic and quietly sensual: the second just before a kiss, held forever.
