A Roman figure in a crimson sash and an Egyptian woman in gold-trimmed white move as one, while the jackal-headed Anubis rises behind them in shadow and gold. Hieroglyphs, the Eye of Horus, the ankh and zodiac signs are chalked across a dark wall, and flames climb from below. Real fabric folds give the robes true relief. Two empires, one love, watched over by the guardian of eternity.
