The Open Palm of the Pyramid

The Open Palm of the Pyramid — original painting by Nourhan Salama

A black pyramid holds a glowing white hand, palm open, as if offering or receiving a blessing. Around it float the symbols of balance and spirit: a yin-yang moon, a silver ring, a rising wisp of flame, and the dark silhouette of a face in quiet contemplation. Set against burnt terracotta, the painting joins Egyptian geometry with universal meditation. A meeting of the earthly and the eternal.
